The site is now prepared for band merch. The current build creates the public merch structure and product-category placeholders. The actual ordering layer should be the next backend step because it needs a provider account, product IDs, pricing, tax/shipping decisions, and checkout.

Use one fulfillment provider first. Do not build three provider integrations at once.

Printful

Best first choice for a controlled Caveman’s merch launch. It handles production, packing, and shipping after a customer orders, so you do not hold inventory. Good fit for shirts, hoodies, mugs, posters, and basic branded products.

International Option

Gelato

Good later option if the audience becomes international. Gelato emphasizes local production through a worldwide production network and supports direct API/custom store connections.

Catalog / Pricing Option

Printify

Useful for testing lots of product types and print providers. Good catalog depth, but quality and availability can depend on the selected print provider.

Phase Plan

How We Should Build It

  1. Create band/product artwork at high resolution with transparent backgrounds where needed.
  2. Pick one provider and create the first product set: T-shirt, hoodie, mug, poster, sticker.
  3. Decide checkout path: simplest is provider-hosted/storefront; strongest long-term is Caveman’s checkout with provider API fulfillment.
  4. Add live product cards to each band page with mockups, sizes, price, and shipping note.
  5. Connect order confirmation and customer support email.
  6. Test one private order before publicly launching merch.
